The Research Associate II on the Vivarium Research and Operations Team will work in a collaborative cross-functional team environment, monitor in vivo experiments in accordance with in vivo protocols and standard operation procedures, perform in vivo and in vitro experiments, help record, organize, and analyze results, communicate effectively and present findings in team meetings.

Soteria is developing next-generation T-cell engager therapies that leverage a proprietary technology to precisely control drug activation. Key Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of a scientific manager, perform in vivo efficacy studies and PK/PD studies in mouse syngeneic and xenograft tumor models to support the initiation and/or advancement of drug candidate projects into the pipeline
  • Carry-out sample banking and data collection at an off-site vivarium
  • Contribute to in vitro expansion of T cells and cancer cell lines for in vivo studies
  • Analyze experimental data using MS Office, Prism or comparable software.
  • Present in vivo study results at project team meetings and contribute to research reports

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • BS in Biology, Veterinary Science, Animal Science, Pharmacology, or related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in conducting in vivo studies in mice
  • Experience in performing efficacy studies in mouse models of cancer
  • Experience with tissue culture of mammalian cells
  • Proficiency with various in vivo skills including dosing (IV, PO, IP), blood/tissue collection, etc.
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and organized
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Ability to work in fast-paced start-up environment with effective execution of key in vivo studies is a must
